2021 Zinfandel

BLEND: 75% Zinfandel, 20% Petite Sirah, 5% Barbera

ESTATE VINEYARD: winery Block planted in 1998 to Primitivo clone. Petite Sirah in 2011. Barbera in 1998 and 2018.

HARVEST: Sept 15-20, 2021

WINEMAKING: Destemed and fermented with native yeast in stainless steel tanks. Aged in French Oak barrels, 35% new.

BOTTLED: 1/30/2023

DESCRIPTION: Our Zinfandel vineyard, a primitivo-clone, is now over 25 years-old. As such, the vines produce more consistent fruit, regardless of the vintage. The perfect conditions in 2021 led to a very dark and intensely fruity wine, which is my kind of Dry Creek Zinfandel. This full-bodied wine is also juicy and perfectly balanced, thanks to our use of Petite Sirah and Barbera in the blend.
