2024 Grenache Blanc

100% Grenache Blanc

We have been growing Grenache Blanc since 2004, and now have almost 2 acres planted. As you would expect, Grenache Blanc is our most full bodied white. What isn't trypical of the variety is that it is consistently our highest acid white - giving it the steely personality of a French Chablis, but with more fruit.

We harvested Grenache Blanc September 10th, which is normal for us.  Our 2024 GB has a bit deeper color than preceeding vintages, but don't be fooled, this is no "orange wine." It has bright green apple and spice aromas and flavors with the racy acidity, we have come to expect from our vineyards. Fermented and aged in concrete, with no oak.  

Grenache Blanc is our most full-bodied white, worthy of aging for a couple of years. It is our version of a deeper colored white wine that doesn't taste like kombucha. The 2024 GB is winemaker Jason Valenti's favorite vintage, and it is easy to see why. - MU

Harvest: Septmeber 10, 2024.

Winemaking: De-stemmed and pressed off skins. Fermented and aged in stainless steel and concrete tanks. No malo-lactic fermentation to preserve acidity.
